We set up the classroom like a studio. Some children were completing their self portrait, while others made the setting of their story.
This week we have been planning our own stories. On Monday we designed our own characters and made them out of plasticine. Tuesday we painted or coloured or collaged our own settings. We have now planned what is going to happen so we are ready to write them! Mrs Brown and Miss Guy are looking forward to reading them!
We have been learning about what it was like to be a poor child in the times of Queen Victoria. We decided it must have been an awful time to have to go to work but then very exciting when Queen Victoria said all children had to go to school. We are still pleased with this today as we love school!!
Here is the link to the Workhouse song we watched. Think about how you would feel if you were there.
